OcuSource Launches OcuSource EXPO 2008
Year-round Online Expo for Low Vision and Blindness
January 16, 2008 Release:
OcuSource.com is hosting the OcuSource EXPO 2008 as a year round resource to consumers and professionals in the low vision and blindness industry
The conference will provide quarterly full-day presentation events, monthly half-day presentation events, and 7 days a week, 24 hours per day exhibit hall and access to archived presentations. The event is FREE to the public.Cost to attend - FREE
Why?- OcuSource estimates that only 10,000 visually impaired persons attend the five major vision impairment tradeshows. Transportation and financial constraints contribute to poor attendance at “physical” visual impairment conferences. OcuSource is now bringing a year-round conference to the attendees around the world, rather than the attendees having to go to the conference, and doing it all through an accessible, interactive online venue.”
When - The first full-day live event begins Wednesday March 26th - 8:00 A.M Pacific Time (11:00 A.M. Eastern)
Where - To participate in the webcasts please visit the OcuSource 2008 Expo at LetsGoExpo.com

What to expect - The “conference center”, designed specifically for use by blind and visually impaired users, easy-to-navigate “presentation halls” and “exhibit halls” allowing the visitor to find his or her way to the topic of interest. Presentation topics include macular degeneration, new products, and education and employment. Exhibit halls are filled with “booths” staffed by manufacturers, vendors, agencies, organizations, and other entities eager to share information about their services and products. Attendees can also speak directly to booth representatives over the internet via the integrated web conferencing tool which provides voice-chat and presentation capabilities from within the booth. Visitors who are unable to attend the live portion of the conference can still experience all the benefits through archived streamed videos of the presentations available for 12 months after the close of the live portion of the event. Any time, day or night, from around the world, visitors can view the presentations and booths.
